The prestigious Global Convergence on Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Law and Contemporary Challenges (GCC-2025) was successfully hosted at the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo, bringing together eminent academicians, jurists, and global thought leaders to deliberate on pressing legal and multidisciplinary challenges of the modern era.

A highlight of the conference was the felicitation of Prof. Dr. Prakash Divakaran, Vice Chancellor of Himalayan University, India, in recognition of his outstanding academic leadership and contributions to higher education and research. The honour was conferred by Prof. Indika Karunathilake, Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Prakash Divakaran emphasized the need for global academic collaborations and highlighted how Himalayan University is committed to advancing legal education, research, and multidisciplinary innovation to meet contemporary challenges.
